We never played Baylor in the 2005/6 season. We last played Notre Dame as the defending champion in 2002.
I think that qualifies as "in a while."

I think the best line was when Geno, noting all the "ESPN operatives on their cell phones", mused that it was nice to see "[ESPN] making conference calls, instead of calling conferences."

I have always regarded Gary not as a quipster but as an awwshucks, self deprecating kinda guy who now and then slips a tiny bit of snarky humor into his bits. Geno on the other hand is THE quipster. Apples and oranges IMO.

That said, my guess is that Gary will rise to the occasion and for this game only, give Geno at least a few jabs. With some southern flavor, of course.
