Great. He will probably lead them to an,undefeated season and spot in the ACC.

Has anyone on this track ever panned out?

Troy Aikman.

Zach Fraser also started for a BCS team.

Nah ~~ Aikmen lost his OSU starting job to Halloway due to injury... that's why he transferred to UCLA.

Perhaps should try asking him. A new coach came in and Troy thought the new system didn't fit his skills. I.e., he wasn't going to start.

?When Aikmen broke his ankle - Barry S put the wishbone back for Halloway. Halloway became entrenched as starter in a wishbone offense and Aikman tranferred to UCLA because they were a passing team. Switzer was the head coach the whole time?

*Edit* - you made me go back and look. Switzer was head coach @ OSU from 73-88. Aikman was only there 84/85 (85 was the year he started and got hurt). Big Cowboy fan otherwise I wouldn't have a clue ;)

Troy Aikman. Joe Flacco. Jeff George. Cam Newton.

I must have missed their sagas. Transferring once? Sure although I'm not sure why you'd put Jeff George on that list. This guy has had a bit more drama than one transfer. This is the fourth school he's committed to in like 24 months.

Yeah but he only transferred once. As far as drama queenism, it would take a lot to top Jeff George, who knows what his recruiting was like. That stuff wasn't magnified like it is today.

I know nothing about the kid other than his constant movement. But when you've gone through Indiana, LSU, Notre Dame and Cincinnati... Bailing on Notre Dame after a season at 4th on depth chart... Let's put it this way I'm not real worried he's in our conference now.

I'm not too worried about Cinci getting him, because they seem to pass for 400 yards against us every year regardless of who's taking snaps. Regardless of what you think of Kiel, Cinci does do a terrific job of bringing in high profile transfers. It seems like they get one or two a year. If I recall even Fraser had them in his final two with us.

This year will be huge because of the opportunity to gain a conference invitation through a bowl bid. Although its looking like cinci will be our compitition for leaving the conferences if one leaves we both leave but that's just my view of the situation

I'm not even sure how many schools Jeff George was involved with. He was going to go to Miami, backed out for Purdue, left there and ended up at Illinois. At least I think that is how it went as it was awhile ago.

As for Aiman, OU sort of changed it for him. They went to more of an I-bone with the idea being that they could pass it a little more. When he broke his leg, Holloway came in and it was back to the wish bone for good.
