Well, it started, Here about 100 miles off the coast, about 30 minutes ago. Small accumulation already on roofs and lawns. Supposed to snow for next 6 hours and stick. Projected low of 18 degrees tonight.

I have been here 25 years and have never seen a snow last over an hour or stick to the ground.

Time for some laughs you snow birds in Panama City

I've seen pictures and I'm gobsmacked. There was one of Bourbon Street, New Orleans that I swore could have been anywhere in Canada, save for Vancouver BC right now.

They're predicting 2-3" around my area in SC. I don't think we've had this kind of snow in ages -- the type where you don't have to use up all the snow on your lawn to make one muddy snowman. :p

The last time anything serious happened was probably 2015 and that was technically more of a sleet consistency than true snow. This looks like the real deal. I'm excited. I haven't experienced any substantial snow accumulation since the early 2010s.

I moved to Memphis a few years ago and I swear there is more winter weather down here than there was in Fairfield County.

I’m in Atlanta. We got half an inch today and cars were backsliding down inclines all over the city. We got about 4-5 inches two weeks ago and now this.

New England, please take your weather back.

I like the snow. It doesn't snow that often, so I don't get tired of it. I bought a new high powered shovel back in 2019, and the weekend before last was the first time I got to use it :)

My two biggest gripes.... bad drivers... and restaurants closing early. Do you know how much driving I had to do to get some dinner the other week. Thank good for the one Bojangles that was still open at 5pm.

I got a snowblower (in suburban Maryland) about 10-15 years ago. When I offered it to my neighbor last week, he asked me how long since I’d used it. I said, never, we hadn’t had 6” in a storm since the one that caused me to buy it. I think that one was over a foot.

It was good insurance, just like the generator I bought after a blackout of several days. We’ve used it for maybe 12 hours.

I can’t say I’m liking the single-digits temps here.

What is a high-powered shovel? I am in St. Louis where we get lots of snow almost every Winter and I have never heard of a high-powered shovel.

One of the craziest weather vids I've ever seen

Great to see them making the best of it. I take the fact I can tobaggon or walk on the lake where I live during the winter for granted. This is a good reminder.

Which city is this weather report for? Looks like the same temperatures we're having here in Southern Ontario right now.
Lincoln County in the Mid-coast. That's about an hour up the coast from Portland.

The time now is 7:35 am, and the temp. is -10° F, -23° C.
