I am a millennial and I work in a very relaxed work environment so I'm not gonna lie and say I don't spend a good few hours of my work day on WCBB forums, but... today something terrifying happened. I got lost and stumbled into Volnation. I had never been there before and I felt like Alice in Wonderland... 45 minutes later I found m way back to the BY. My heart was beating very fast as I read through the threads. I feel kind of bad for the fans but I don't think I will be going back. For whatever reason I felt like I needed to come back here and confess. So there.

Best time to visit - right after a loss. It's a real fun fest.

I feel bad for the team and just a bit for the crap the coach is getting, but I will never feel bad for the fans that populate orange message boards.

It is holiday season so everyone can take it easy.
And, have a happy holiday ....

Yeah, that team will get better. There certainly is no room for them to get worse. I fear some of the fans may revolt if they don't.

To properly cleanse your basketball soul you must say 10 'C.D.'s , eat at Geno's and watch a replay of the 2000 National Championship Game

They might get better, but the problem is that most other talented teams also get better. Plus, and I've said this before in other threads, while the pieces are there, it's not like you can watch them and think "Oh, they are trying to do the right stuff, they just aren't there yet." No. There is no semblance of an offense, they take bad shots (and they are bad shooters) and there are very few assists. So will they get better? Probably. But so wil SC, UK, Baylor, etc.

And I'm not even mentioning UConn in that conversation, because they could stay exactly at the level they are right now and still beat everyone by 30.

True. Usually by the time everyone else figures it out UConn has already made a patented blueprint of how to do it right and put it in a vault.

I think most of us have gone there from time to time. Its always interesting to see the dark side post.

Then it is always refreshing to come back to the BY were people are civil and discussions are about wcbb, especially UCONN basketball!

I have gone to Vol Nation for quite a while.... because I like WCBB.... and also because the Summit scares me..... I was on Summit for a couple of days before I took myself off, because even an indifferent comment was not accepted too well..... They are a passionate bunch in Kville, and in a way i actually feel badly for them.... on the Vol Nation, they are so fractured now..... many want Holly gone, some still support her, some want Tyler to assume ranks, some want ANYBODY but who is there now..... some still blame the players..... I still maintain what i have from the start, that it is 100% a CHW problem, and since the start of the new athletic regime, a Dave Hart problem in that he is a football guy first and foremost..... I only hope, somehow, and I mean this sincerely, TN can return to solid, fundamental basketball..... and through that , the Vol Nation population will assume the fervent fan base they always have been.

Oh, is that all? I thought you were going to say you had been on The Summitt.

The Summitt wasn't all that bad while they were the better team. As that was ending, their descent into madness took hold. Eventually they went for pay. I can't imagine what it is like now that it is totally inbred.

NO!!!!! Not The Summitt !!! Anything but that if you value your life!!!!! :) :)
Purusing the LV forums, especially the UConn threads, you realize real quickly why alot of us don't ever want to play TN in regular season again.
The depth of anger, the disgusting accusations, etc...
The worst part is that there are some GREAT UT fans out there that are excellent people and support the vols in spite of the hate. I think they are suffering for it more than anybody.

I was banned from the Summitt for posting that the people posting reminded me of a Twilight Zone Episode(an epsiode where a whole town was blaming each other for the power failure) after Meighan Simmons was cut or not picked for a Team USA event.

Best thing that happened to me regarding Tennessee.

That episode of Twighlight Zone was, I think, my all-time favorite. I believe it was called "The Martians Come to Maple Street." The best part was the closing, where the camera pulls back to reveal the "visitors," as one says to another something like, "See, we don't need to attack them, just disrupt their routines and they will kill each other for us." Great performance by Claude Akins.

As someone once said......."Go and sin no more".

I was banned from the lady vols forum for my first post where I wondered about the hate postings. Best thing that ever happened to me regarding Tennessee.

Great News... I'm "unbanned" from VolNation, today is a good day.

I'll check out The Summitt later on in the season

What's that old Groucho Marx line? Something like "I wouldn't want to join a club that would have someone like me as a member?"
