Gronk comes out of retirement, traded to Tampa to reunite with Brady

.-.
You have you wonder whether Gronk should be playing any more football.

God I love salty Boston sports fans

Exchnage him for a couple of cases of Depends and a medicaid recipient to be named later?

Classic Boston sports fan. The guy is 30. His body is probably as healthy as it's been in a decade. He's never had any issues missing stretches and getting right back into it. But now that he's not a Patriot, he's washed up and cooked. LOL.

Where are you drafting him in fantasy? #3 tight end behind Kelce and Kittle?

Actually given his history of concussions (over 20 by his count), I don't think it makes sense to bounce his brain around anymore. That would be true if he was playing Foxborough as well.

Gronk the entertainer act was getting really old, much rather see him on the gridiron then his trying too hard to be funny act. Its gonna be a crazy 30 for 30, "Bill vs Tom".

How do you trade a retired player?

I remember when Favre came out of retirement, he wanted to join the Vikings since it was within the division, there was something within the contract that said the Vikings would have had to give the GB 3 1st rd picks, thats why he was on the Jets for that one year.

How do you trade a retired player?

When Gronk retired, his contract probably had a few years remaining.

If Gronk ever decided to play again, his contract terms at the time of retirement would be inforce.

So if a team wanted his services, they would have to deal with the existing contract

You notice that when guys want to retire with a certain team, after they are cut, they'll usually sign a one day contract and then retire. It makes it easier to just come back.

Oh, I don’t wonder at all. There is no way someone with his concussion and injury history should play But that’s easy for me to say. It must be so hard to stop when you’re that talented and that much of a competitor.

The big thing is TB didnt have to deal their 14th pick who they can use on an OT.

They're loaded on offense, yet that cliff will find 40+ yr old Brady at some point...

The Tampa bay patriots. Edelman next. Pats stuck with Jared Stidham lol

Hope TB takes Edelman too.....all the aging parts gone. Let BB start over instead of having to overpay guys well past their prime.

Guess that CBD thing isn't working out.
How do you think he got healthy enough to come back?

I always wondered if a 1 year sabbatical would add another couple years on the back side.

I had a feeling he was always gonna be back, I actually thought it would be last year at mid season for the Pats, Jason Witten whose 37 retired that one year to be a color analyst on MNF and returned last year.

From what I read, the trade was just for his rights. There is no guarantee he is coming out of retirement. If Tampa has talked to him without the Patriots permission, the Patriots could gain more draft picks as compensation for tampering.

I don't know. I was just quoting what I read. I think it was CBSsport.com

How do you even prove it, I honestly dont understand why its a big deal in professional sports.
