Rare strongest possible recommendation from me. This is on Apple TV (free trial or pony up $8). Tom Hanks stars and produced. Based on a novel by CS Forrester.
It is the story of a new Destroyer captain leading a convoy of supply ships across the North Atlantic In WW II. It’s so gripping, harrowing and just real that it makes a tremendous emotional impact. I recall talking to guys who served on these ships in Fall River, but they would never share just how terrifying and intense it must have been.
This is the best movie I’ve seen in 2020 as far as I can recall.
