The article in the Daily Campus today that was linked to Huskies in the News has already paid dividends. The article story was that UConn is rated the 3rd greenest campus in the world, and that it might be a bonus for attracting students to Storrs.
There had been speculation that the green rating might help especially in interplanetary recruiting, and indeed the team just got a LOI from a star ballhandler from the Amazonis Planitia region of Mars. She is said to have a handle that is unbelievable. Not sure about her height, but she's used to winters a lot colder than at Storrs and is hoping to major in green technology engineering.
