I remember in 1999 at the final-4 when Ajou Deng travelled, and worked out with the team. That's when Billy Packer & Dickey V proclaimed him as the next great UConn player after watching him practice.
The NCAA allowed red shirts and transfers to travel to the FF then. Apparently they changed the rule, as they always seem to do.

I mentioned it in another thread, but Katz reported near the beginning of the season that Ollie said Purvis was the 2nd best player on the team in practice. If he can be somewhere between Bazz and Boat next year, than he should be a major impact player
