"In those last second shots, you don't take the best shot," Napier said. "You take the most open shot. If I'd gotten closer, Cheek might have come back on me."
Did he think the shot was going in?
"You don't shoot to miss," Napier said.

Love that quote. I really wish Napier would shoot more. Sometimes I think he is so worried about running the offense that he forgets to look for his own shot. He has to remember that he's the second or third best option on this team.

Whether or not it's sarcasm, I have noticed him giving up some open shots within the offense of late..... this is not to say that he doesn't force at times or dribble for 30 seconds and take a bad shot, but he actually does give up some pretty good looks sometimes and i'm often confused why he passes up open shots at times during possessions bc he's without a doubt our number 2 option out there.... granted, we are at our best when he's running the show and getting everyone else open looks, but I don't think anyone on here would mind him canning some 3's if they're wide open on reversals/when lamb gets doubled within the offense

I think he passed up some shots last night and deferred to Boatright a lot at the end of the shot clock. Most likely it's because his foot wasn't 100% - he's not one to lack for confidence normally.

Things that went right last night.

AO in the low post.
Getting the ball to Lamb when the offensive set broke down
SN as the fourth offensive option with Boat in the game.

These are the key to us scoring, though it took OT to score over 70.

If we continue do this and fix the rebounding, penetration defense and free throw shooting, we may have something.

That's a big if. We've been begging for this all season but we didn't get it until our backs were against the wall. I hope and pray that this will continue because we are a dangerous teacher if everyone is getting involved and playing smart basketball.

what your post tells me is that bazz is a poor decision maker. yeah he`s giving up some open shot but then he takes some questionable ones. if he can understand to do the opposite than we have something. take the open shot whenever its there because you`re our #2 option and when a shot isnt there dont force it and look for jl,the open man or reset the offense. he still seems to have trouble with this concept.
