Fresh off their NCAA championship, UConn coach Kevin Ollie and assistant Glen Miller visited with Govan on Friday.

“They have a lot of big men but they don’t have a big man that they can really throw it into and expect him to get a bucket so that’s what they’re expecting me to do if I decide to go there,” Govan said. “They just want me to definitely try and go there.”

Obviously, UConn is riding high coming off the NCAA win.

“I mean, that’s an honor because they just won a championship. They have a winning tradition at their school so it’s cool to be recruited by UConn,” Govan said. “It’s an honor.”

We have Nolan, Brimah, Lubin, Facey. A roster needs 5 big men. So we're one short. Lubin has never played and Facey has barely played. I'm not sure it's fair to say "a lot."

Govan & Lubin would add much needed beef we've lacked these past 2 years (positive outlook included). Needed inside scoring, toughness & rebounding are priorities. Brimah, Nolan & Facey are obviously on the thin side but athletic, but struggle with big, strong, physical teams. I like the combination of lean & athletic, with big & strong. It makes our frontcourt much more diverse. I'm a big fan of combining all these features. Brings back memories of Thabeet/Adrien, Okafor/Boone, Voskul/Freeman. One part athletic/bouncy and the other as physical force. I'm anxious to see how Ollie transforms his teams. I'm becoming fan of 3 solid ball handlers with 2 strong & athletic bigs. While I love DD, I think his type of player not a long term type of player in Ollies' system. That's just my observation.

Which one of these schools is not like the others?? Hint: it has four of something since 1999 that the others haven't even sniffed at and won't in the distant future.
