I just stumbled across this article on Travis Knight on celticslife.com. It is from last summer and maybe some read it already but I figure I'll post the link for those who haven't.

Two things

First, check out this picture of Travis now. Pretty shocking look considering he always looked as conservative as they come.

And two, here are the last few lines.
He also has an 8 year old daughter named Natasha. I feel his quote regarding her interest in basketball sums it up:
“If she wants to play basketball we’ll play; if not, it’s fine with me.”
Just like you buddy.

Yikes, that's harsh....The author says he likes him but takes shot after shot at him. I'd hate to see what the author would say about someone he didn't like....

It's a blogger - who the duck* cares what he thinks about anything. Internet tough guy posting Travis Knight's phone number - edgy stuff, superstar.

And not for nothing, the dude can't write for s***.

The blogger sounds a bit like a few too many angry. jealous Boston area residents. In contrast, Knight's comment on his daughter's sports interest is appropriate, and his Villa Noche guest house sounds quite attractive (aesthetically and financially alike). Good for Travis!

This is why I hate the internet as a source for news. Anybody can write anything without consequences and the sad thing is people believe it. There are no editors to fire his ass for not being able to write an English sentence.
This blog reminds me of Seinfeld; a show about nothing. This was a blog about nothing.

Travis was always a radical. He left Utah behind when he came to UConn. That took balls for a young guy.

Let me see. Guy made millions. Got out young. Now he spends his time on a beach in Nicaragua making good coin selling sand and sun to rich foreigners, and he's let his hair grow long, like Jesus and Jefferson?

And the problem is what exactly? Too many almost-naked women? Too much relaxation? Everybody should be like Boxer the draft horse and work for the collective?

Good job Travis. Love the hair, and you're living the life.

OK so Travis had marginal talent for the NBA. So exactly whose fault is it that he signed a 20 million dollar contract, and whose fault is it that another NBA team took it over? If I'm not mistaken one of Travis' kids has had a serious health issue, so life is not always a bowl of cherries. couldn't be happier for him, he was a class kid.

The funniest thing about this joker is he thinks $3500 a week for a vacation rental is outlandish. He should try to get a house in the OBX or on the Jersey shore.

He's not really running anything there - looks like he's just renting out his house.

And if you go to the calendar, he's renting it out more often than not.

My Dad's talked to him a few times at work... I think he runs the fishing charters too. ;)

Old timers may recall the Big Fella a Mormon from Sandy Utah--- Seven feet 220 pounds. Mom tried to talk him out of Storrs so he signed in April of his Senior year. Had great games against Cuse and maybe GT in MSG BE tourn. Got him drafted high and Rickey P later gifted him with 21 mill. Came to one of Calhouns Alumni games and had married a girl from Finland. Hair was down his shoulders. By the way a Howie Dickenman recruit.

An Animal Farm reference on the Boneyard... Impressive.

I remember he was seldom used his freshman year, but made a game winning basket against St Johns. saw him hanging out, drinking a beer in the bar inside the garden during the big east tournament, just a couple of years ago. he was very cool, talked to whoever approached him.

Over the years I've run into former UConn players at away venues. I usually just go up, say hi, and let them go about their business. Some are more engaging than others, but all have been perfectly cordial. Travis in particular just seems like a happy, goofy guy. Couldn't have been nicer.

I don't think Travis was an equivalent of a girl getting fat after you marry her. He was who he always was. Blame Pitino for the contract, not Travis.

Good guy. He is a rebel. Real friendly guy. Ray was neat and Travis was a slob in comparison when it came to neatness and dress.

That photo of Ray and Travis reminds me of the "Odd Couple" show.
