Gordon Sammis next step

He did much better than I expected after he was promoted a year ago. My one ask is he look to be more flexible so he can make better adjustments mid-game.
This is my take as well. I thought he did a great job as a first year OC, but mid game adjustments were a real struggle at times. I think of the Temple game in this context -- the stretch run was not working, so our solution was to try the stretch run. Stubbornly.

If he can balance his gameplay with a "take what the defense gives you" approach I think he'll be calling plays for a long time.

Although I agree you with you, here is kind of the counter. Call it a nuance.

The Rice game. He stuck with the stretch and in the 3rd qtr, Robinson changed the game on one stretch run. There is a fine line in giving up what brought you to the dance and moving on from it. To me, it is knowing when to change it up. The Bills OC got caught with that last night. The Chiefs knew the QB sneak goes over the LG and they overloaded there. In a tight contest, that kind of stubbornness can cost the team that game

I agree. That Bills loss is on the HC and OC. Chasing two point conversions early—dumb.
Trying the tush push with Allen after KC stopped it more than once. dumber!

Hideous decision making by the Bills. 2 pt conversion panicky, tush push idiotic.

Back to Sammis. Monster recruit with Ty Chan. OL is starting to really excite me. Run or pass protect, we should have a line that will allow us to get it done with _____________at QB!!
