I can't wait for DD to be a premier scorer next season! You can tell he's a good guy and you can't help but root for him to be successful. This team will have fight like few UConn teams have had in the past; these guys who are sticking it out are ready to scrape their way through every game to prove everyone wrong

I read an article earlier in the year about Deandre staying in the gym hours after practice to put up shots. I think he's gonna be really good this year. He's got the drive

I really hope DD makes it this year and is a piece of the puzzle. He has the length and the skills to be a good player but has to play faster and stronger. He is a key to how good this team can be let's be honest but I expect he will begin the process of becoming a solid, if not very good player this coming year. Tough not to root for the kid - came here with high praise and rankings and got stuck in the mud but is looking to bounce back. Like the rest of the guys remaining on the roster and guys like Calhoun (Omar) who stuck it out to be in Storrs, this team will be real hard not to root for!!!! They are all very true Huskies for being here through the thick and thin............others not so much.

I hope more like Rudy after college (involved, aggressive, assertive) than at UConn (inconsistent, passive, sometimes seemingly disinterested).

winner. with all the struggles he went through in his first season and with all the controversy surrounding the program for him to still be here speaks volumes to his character. absolutely love the kid and i hope he not only gets better but explodes next season and becomes one of the big easts bests. the talent and work ethic is there it just all needs to come together.
