Oh. I was hoping he was traded.
That's exactly what I was hoping when I saw the thread title too lol. I always thought it was bogus when people would say that they had a "big three" of Augustin, Henderson, and Biyombo. Biyombo? Biyombo was just another one of Jordan's bad draft choices.

you're just making stuff up, nobody ever references a "big anything" when it comes to Charlotte

Biyombo flashed some potential last year for his age. He was a solid pick and by all accounts he was Rich Cho's choice, while Kemba was Jordan's.

Its really indicative of the sad state of the Charlotte Hornets. It may be good for Kemba or may not be. If Kemba doesn't produce wins then who's to blame?

the Bobcats are apparently on the verge of signing Ramon Sessions, I'd imagine Augustine has to be on his way out.

Not sure if this is a good move or not. Sessions is a bit of a downgrade, but he's older and may be more amicable to coming off the bench behind Kemba.

I can't imagine there is any room for Augustine, who is basically an older more expensive Kemba with less upside. They need to shed him pronto.

Augustin to the Pacers.

Regardless of Kemba starts or not, he's going to get 30+ minutes per night. The Bobcats clearly view him as a piece for their future.

Just to quote myself.

After further review, I like this signing more and more depending on how much it's for and how long.

Sessions is a taller PG, which makes him playing with Gordon a good thing. The Bobcats have vastly upgraded their backcourt this offseason. They basically went from:

PG: Augustin, Kemba
SG: Henderson, ???

to

PG: Kemba, Sessions
SG: Henderson, Gordon

Maggette is still a loss, in some aspects, but he was injured a lot last year (32 games). MKG/Taylor may not be an upgrade but they are young talent, which is good. Frontcourt needs help if Bismark and Mullens don't grow a lot.

Not a good, let alone great, team yet, but much better IMO (on paper).

Rich Cho is doing a very nice job with this franchise. They will still be bad enough to get a high pick, but they are getting slightly better along the way.

Rich Cho has now drafted Bismark, Kemba, MKG and Taylor which are all solid if not spectacular picks. He has signed Sessions and Mullens. He has traded for Gordon and acquired a first round draft pick (Pistons).

I wish he could have gotten something for DJ Augustin and Fatty Diaw, but just getting those two players off the roster is nice. I hope he amnesties Tyrus Thomas soon.

In a year he has done a hell of a job.

Rumor is Sessions is getting 5 years 40 mil, which is crazy if true.

Where are you hearing this? Marc Spears is reporting the deal will be for only 2 seasons, with salary figures yet to be released. Good move for Charlotte as Sessions is an upgrade over Augustin.

I read it earlier today on a NBA forum.

Biyombo was just another one of Jordan's bad draft choices.

You can tell that after just one shortened NBA season under a bad coaching situation? Have you made youself available to some pro team yet? The local media say similar things about Kemba, you would both be wrong to judge quite so quick IMO.

Did you watch the Bobcats last year?

Yeah, that's why I posted what I did. The games I saw he stunk and didn't even try to play team ball.

Let me be clear, I don't think Maggette is a good NBA player, but he is an NBA player. The Bobcats, last year, had a bunch of NBDL players on their team.
