Good games on tonight, bunch of AAC games

UConn women vs Duke at 7 on ESPN2, Pitt vs Cinci on ESPN at 7 (big game for cinci and the AAC, hopefully cinci can get rolling), Memphis vs Florida on espn at 9(huge game for memphis), Missouri State vs Louisville at 9... FGC vs USF, Jacksonville vs UCF both at 7

Can someone explain the end of the USF game? The guy on FGCU got the shot off before the red light went off, but are the refs (by the rules) required to waive it off because there was only 0.3 left and it wasn't a tip (i.e. he used two hands)? Very weird.

You pretty much explained it yourself, haha. They needed a tip not a shot, even though it appeared that it was off before the clock ran out, that was because the clock was not started fast enough. You need at least .4 seconds for a shot.

By rule it HAS to be a tip no matter what the light indicates. What a play though. That pass was incredible.

The rule helps prevent a clock operator from impacting the game.

I enjoyed every minute of that game!

I flashed over to the Cincy and USF games during the tv timeouts. I took a little glimpse at GTown-Elon and Providence-Yale, too. It was a solid night to zone out to hoops for a little while. Thankfully, Memphis is starting to show some life now, because they were close to letting it get away with Florida...
