24 pts, 5-7fg, 14-16ft(!), he was constantly attacking and getting in the lane and looked comfortable running the point. No Jarret Jack or Eric Gordon, this is audition time for Jerome to get a camp invite to a squad next year and he's doing well for himself.

I just checked the box score and I was boarderline shocked at how well he played. 24 points taking only seven shots? The best scorers in the league don't score at that pace. And 14-16 at the line? Incredible. This kid from the D-League comes in and he's attacking the basket like Dwyane Wade. If only LeBron was that aggressive during the fouth quarter.

Couldn't be happier for him.

Rome should be on the hornets (well former hornets who knows what there going to call the team next year) summer league team and if he is playing like he did tonight i could see him making the opening night roster. He wasn't too far away this past year.i think he was 1 of the last cuts for the hornets.

Awesome! Hope you're right about the opening-night roster. Tonight was a good start. I could see him sticking on a bad team and think he could be the scorer on a team that needs one. Who knows, maybe he can find his way into a decent NBA career.

Forget about a good game, that's a great game. Man this really puts a smile on my face, so happy for Jerome. That's the statline of a nba vet, getting to the line 16 times is damn impressive and it leads me to believe he has a place in this league with his attacking style. He was the last player cut before the season and he is showing the Hornets he should be a part of their team next year.

Amazing night for UConn players in the NBA.

If you look at the ESPN boxscore from both the Chicago-Charlotte game and the New Orleans-Memphis game, the top performers (as listed by ESPN) were ALL UConn plaeyers: Rip, Kemba, Rudy and Jerome.
