I suppose they would get the 6th year if they redshirted in the future, but outside of an injury I can't think of a scenario where someone would play and then redshirt mid-career

A HS senior just did my sidewalk today and said he's graduating early and going to Southern next month. I jokingly asked him if he is getting kicked out or just smart. Thought it was unusual, and now I see @BigErnMcCracken thread.

Since no graduation, and nothing to really experience (based on 2020 graduating class), I can understand the reasoning if that's part of it. My guy is also an athlete, but I'm thinking freshman or JV team, if he plays.

If they can play reward them, make something good out of this horrific current situation. A scholarship makes it much sweeter.
