Golden State Warriors are bad for the game...

They are chasing history and already have 73 wins on the season. The next winningest team is San Antonio at 63. SAS also had some sort of crazy home court win streak that was ALSO talked about ALL THE TIME. Horrible for the game.

The Warrior are the top story on ESPN every time they play, and even on some nights they don't play. They are being talked about by everyone and it's non stop. But the fact that they are so good is just bad for the game. Bad for the NBA. Bad for the fans. Bad for attendance. Bad for professional basketball... <sarcasm off>

So is that about the dumbest comment ever? Bad for the game?? Same goes for the comments about UCONN. I just wanted to point out that any time a team (or pro player in tennis (Serena or Novak) or golf (Tiger) or track (Bolt) for example) flirts with perfection, or totally dominates in any sport, interest in that team is HUGE. I'm just going to say it - anyone that thinks UCONN has been bad for WCBB over the past 4 years is a complete moron. And quite possible sexist. Period.

Oh, come on eric, you damn well know all of that blather is rampantly sexist and proud of it. Goes right along with the adjusting the junk constantly BS (literally and figuratively) that infects so much of sports and sports reporting.

I know but... My point, while being super sarcastic, was to point out how absolutely ridiculous it is for a sane and non-racist person to make those comments about UCONN (being bad for the game). Frankly, I'm shocked that it's even a discussion and that Kara and Rebecca need to address and defend it is ludicrous. I would have brought up this example earlier when the debate was raging, but needed to wait till the GSW's were closer to the end of the season, and the publicity generated reached epic proportions.

Side note - both of the kittens are rescues. One was hit by a car and left for dead (the black one) and the other a runt and left behind by her family (the white one).

A total thread digression, but: our black one found starving, with her litter, in an abandoned 18 wheeler box by one of our daughters 22 years ago! Named Xena (goddess warrior). Our white, same daughter saw him being thrown off a bridge as a 5-6 week old kitten. He's Foster (foster child).
