We're 1-2 and have two game to right the ship prior to BE conference games.
Bad news. Horrible play calling on some plays and equally as bad execution on others. The players had bad snaps that ended up on the ground and WR's, RB's and returners who put the ball on the ground too. That's a bad harbinger for the future.
Play calling is perplexing to say the least. I realize the field needs to be spaced out, but why are the QB's consistently throwing the ball to the WR three yards downfield on 3-8 situations.
New Oline tonight. I'll give them a 'D' for their efforts tonight, but there's room for improvement. The Oline right now isn't up to the level we've seen the last 5-6 years.
Johnny Mac isn't the short term or long term solution for QB. Start Nebrich and put in McCummings for special situations. If either one is hurt, Johnny Mac now has enough live snaps to step in competently.
Right now the coaching staff has seen enough game film and practice film to reduce players and plays down to what is effective.
