In all seriousness, I think there is a relation between Gene Defilippo and former Derby High coaching legend Lou Defilippo, I think he's his uncle or something.

Lou Defilippo was a heck of a player and as a coach his Derby teams in the late 60's/early 70's used to kick Ansonia's ass. I knew they were related but didn't know they were father and son. Makes Flippers recent actions seem strange IMO, yeah he has to watch out for BC, that's his job, but at the same time all the strong ties he has to the state of CT you would think he'd be somewhat supportive of what Herbst is trying to do.
