UConn 27 - UCF 24.

We get our first win against a top25 team on the road. It makes it all the sweeter when we come back home and beat another top25 team in Louisville for two straight. All of a sudden, people start asking if we can do the unthinkable and win 6 straight and get into a bowl game. I, of course, say yes... ;)

This is the first game all year where I see us having absolutely no shot.

23 points for the dogs....how many for the knights? ;)

I already know the number one positive coming out of the UCF loss. No more posts where UConn wins out to get bowl eligible.

UConn is going to lose the next two games by a combined score of like 90-20.

I'm not sure if it's better to go in eyes wide open or if it's better to fool yourself into these games being in question...

UCF has a meltdown after the big win and everything clicks for us. 34-24 uconn. I will be in attendance an uconn fans have to be escorted out by security.

If my fantasy does not come true i am sure there will be lots of scenery around to look at so its a win win

I hope we see more Delorenzo and continued progression from Boyle.

Pretty sure we just played the best team in the conference and it isn't UCF. FWIW Louisville has weaknesses and UCF did a great job exploiting them. On offense we have some of those elements if we use them correctly but that's for a future prediction thread.

I think if the coaches are able to keep ths offense to what it does well and cover up for some of the glaring weaknesses of the line we can put some points up. What I'm worried about is the total breakdown of our D this past weekend and the lack of pass rush. We need to make big changes here or they'll hit us for 30+ points again.

This is a huge test for the coaches and players and if TJ has any ideas on how to keep them motivated through this week's practice now is the time. Now is also the time for Tim Boyle to become the leader in practice and on the field. He needs to call guys out this week because he's been thrown into this spot ahead of schedule and the seniors better step up and help him out. Time for the team to come together and focus. The PGDL going away party is officially over.

Even before the season started I never saw us beating Cincy but I'm not 100% sold on UCF. Get mad and bring some heat this week. Coaches time to let 'em play on D.

You think Cincinnati is the best team in the conference? Are you a blood relative of Tommy Tuberville?

Give me your rankings because Houston, UCF, Louisville and Cincy are all close. I was never in the Louisville camp and not sold yet on UCF. How good is Houston? Not sure but they looked pretty good this weekend. Just think Cincy has the edge but we'll see.

They are not close.

Cincinnati

I'd put Cincinnati 5th in the ACC - way behind Louisville, UCF, Houston , Rutgers...

But better than Memphis, Temple, UConn, SMU... And USF if they hadn't lost to them.

UCF should win this big. UConn has the ability to keep it close. And I'm not sure if a UConn win is cause for optimism or aggravation. 42-9 UCF.

Central Florida 28 UConn 6. Our offense is not good and despite all the huhah about Boyle it isn't even close to being able to score points against good teams. Kid has some big upside but he isn't good right now. UConn d gets excoriated by the Boneyard for giving up 14 points while 2 pick-6s are written off as "learning experiences."

I will predict at least two boyle touchdown passes. One of them even occurs in the second half

In all honesty, I think UConn will hang around in this one for a while but I don't think we'll win. It won't be 41-16 type of score but I do think something like 28-7, 28-10 is pretty likely. That is one good football team that O'Leary has put together and they are playing at a high level. they have a good running back and a good quarterback, and are well coached. O'Leary is a very good head coach and had it not been for that little resume issue, which would barely even be worth commenting on now-a-days, Notre Dame would have saved themselves a long string of very mediocre head men.
