does uconn fb play Louisville on the same friday night?
Don't worry, I don't think you did. Conte Forum was added to the complex in 1988 and the stadium was renovated, but not expanded.
According to BC.edu, Alumni was build in 1957 (26k), Expanded to 32,000 in 1971, and finally to 44,500 in 1994.
Yeah... 7 page thread on BB Board. Go there to complain

I couldn't get past page one but I hope someone realized we will be on national TV for the BB game and at the very least regionally for the FB game.
Isn't that good for us as people change channels looking for sports and they get a double dose of UConn? Doesn't that imply big time?
Different situations I think. For one thing basketball teams regularly play these neutral site games/pseudo-tournaments early in the season. We've done it before. Secondly, there is a difference between playing 30 games and playing 12. When you play 30, with maybe 20 at home, you can afford to play 1 neutral site game even if the opponent is going to be a defacto home team. Not so much when you have only 6 home games. I wouldn't object to playing a neutral site game from time to time in football. Nor would I object to playing Notre Dame at a neutral site. But I don't go for playing our home games at a neutral site and their home games at their home field.
We have many Boneyarders in "Delusionville".
Notre Dame should have been taken for the very same reason we need to take this path on the AAAAA Conference road. We need to build ... develop ... play to our highest & best ... as a Fanbase and as a Program. We cannot get hung up on pride and stupid "we can't do that". If it pushes us to a higher plane ... we need to do it. As you can see, we aren't making gobs of money at this. (***YET)
In theory, yes. But there is nothing big time about playing a college football game on a Friday night.I couldn't get past page one but I hope someone realized we will be on national TV for the BB game and at the very least regionally for the FB game.

The ACC, big 12, SEC all play on Thursday. How many of them play on Friday??I guess USC on Thursday nights the past few years screams small time.
I could be wrong but the only power conferences that play on Friday is the big east and PAC 12, the PAC 12 being new as part of their new TV contract.Used to be that way but a lot of schools in supposed "big time" conferences play on Friday nights now-a-days thanks to TV contracts. For example the week before our game against the Ville - USC plays Oregon State on Friday night.

No people are out Friday nights not watching football. You clearly missed my point.I'm sure people watchung the games discuss whether it's Thursday or Friday. Seriously....we are the only ones discussing it.
