Prompted by a conversation in the South Carolina thread, give me your school’s active alumni lineup.

1. Player must have finished at the school to be eligible. Ie, Chen is eligible for UConn, EDD is not.

2. Assume player is healthy and 2025 age and ability.

3. Choose team as if they will take the court in the Olympics or WNBA Finals. Not necessarily your best players, but which players fit together best.

4. Choose at least 5, no more than 8.

5. Current collegians are only eligible if necessary to complete a lineup. So no Latson for South Carolina’s backcourt or Strong for UConn’s frontcourt.

6. Selecting a coach is optional, but can be anyone. (Yeah, Huskies. We know who you’ll pick). Or just explain your style of play. You’re the GM.

Sadly, the Rutgers era has passed, I think. Wheeler and Copper are the only 2 left in the W. A few years back you could have made a pretty good team out of Rutgers players, including some that never made the WNBA.

Starters:
Ty Harris
Tehina Paopao
Allisha Gray
A'ja Wilson
Aliyah Boston

Bench:
Tiffany Mitchell
Laeticia Amihere
Kamilla Cardoso

First we have two facilitators in Ty and Pao who will be good at pushing the pace and feeding the bigs while also being able to space the floor and shoot the 3 at a high clip with efficiency. Then we have the all-around best guard in the league in Gray who is really good on offense and defense. Then we have the best player in the world, A'ja Wilson, nuff said. And we end with another dependable bucket getter and big body in Boston.

Cardoso could come off the bench and give Boston or Wilson some rest. Amihere can be the Swiss army knife and defensive menace off the bench. Mitchell is another slasher who could play any of the guard positions and be that spark off the bench.

Not sure we have much of a bench for this game to be very interesting relative to UConn and SCARR, but:

Haley Jones
Lexie Hull
Nneka Ogwumike
Alanna Smith
Kiki Iriafen (she graduated from Stanford, she counts, I'm not negotiating on that!)

Bench:
Cameron Brink
Dijonai Carrington (same - four years at Stanford)
Kiana Williams
Karlie Samuelson

Aaaaaand, that's the list of possibilities?

Technically, Ashten Prechtel (Mystics Training Camp), Hannah Jump (Turkey and Team GB), Mikaela Ruef (Sydney Flames), and Nadia Fingall (Valencia Basket) are also playing overseas.

I thought I would also look at it from a different perspective.

I picked Stevens and Nelson-Ododa over Charles

I’ll submit a team on behalf of Notre Dame:
C-Brianna Turner
F-Jessica Shepard
G-Kayla McBride
G-Jackie Young
G-Skylar Diggins-Smith

Bench:
Sonia Citron
Jewell Loyd
Arike Ogunbowale

Love the idea! In reality only a handful of universities have enough active players to make a competent roster. Furthermore, probably even a smaller portion of the above groupings have enough players available at the right positions, so it makes sense to take alternative approaches.

I was trying to find a list and this is the best I could find. Note that this list only contains the playoff team rosters!
