Typically, it is worked into the benefits of attending a destination tournament. Prearranged opportunities by the tournament sponsor (I have no idea about the funding). But nothing on the parent's nickels or dimes, it is an official team event.

One great thing about being young is that kids don’t spend a lot of time dwelling on a disappointment. Shake off the SC loss, have some fun and then get back to work.

Me too, but I've seen no proof of it.

But if they come walking out of the airport instead of sloshing out of Long Island Sound (or a shortcut through Block Island Sound) after a long walk home (or swim, as @eebmg suggested), there'll be Hell to pay because... defying Geno. I imagine the first few days of practice after Thanksgiving will be held in the pool wearing snorkels.

We're having Prime Rib instead of Turkey for Thanksgiving. Got sick one year in the Army because of an under cooked Turkey and have eaten one since. There were something like 20 people that got sick.
