It’s very clear that Vital is not a PG. Offense fell apart and he turned it over a bunch when forced into PG duty.

Yeah I would have taken a chance with gaffney at the 1. Think he would have done better than vital at that spot in terms of distribution.
I would have also rather seen Sidney Wilson at the 4 a little more instead of Polley for defensive purposes after Akok went out. Sidney is an underrated shot blocker inside

I don't understand why Gilbert has yet to learn how to consistently use his body and create contact when driving to the hoop. Kemba was and is an all time great at this, and is a key reason why he is so successful in the NBA at his size.

AG needs to watch more Kemba film and learn how to locate the defender, draw contact at the rim, and get his defender either off balance or draw the foul.
 
Well if Gilbert and Hurley thought the social media hate was bad before, they ain’t seen nothing yet

Gilbert is being Gilbert again. Turnovers and bad shots. Come on Hurley , call him out on it. Don't let him lose another game for us.

They just aren’t high D1 players, neither one should be starting. Think we are better off starting either B Adams/Bouknight or Gaffney/Bouknight. Gilbert and Vital seem like great kids, they just aren’t good enough to lead a team in high D1-way too many terrible decisions (that lead to turnovers or take bad shots).
 
Gilbert always seems to make these crazy threes at the end of the game when we are behind. Be nice if he could do that at other points in the game.

You’d think Gaffney was holding a stick of C4 with how quickly he wants the ball out of his hands. He’s just not ready.

You're not wrong. AG and CV watched Jalen trying to be Kemba and now they are trying to Jalen. On some level, I appreciate it. They are seniors and they are trying to take control and carry a young team. You have to appreciate that. On the other hand the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. On some level I have to put that on Hurley. That may be unfair but as he points out, that's why he's paid millions.
 
Gilbert had 8 assist with 3 turnovers...still not a bad ratio. We will certainly live and die by Vital. If he plays composed, we are likely to win. But all of his sloppy play negates his positive impact. Carlton also needs to work on hand strength.
