How can you call a moving screen on the guy with the ball?

I know he was moving when he screened the defender, but he had the ball. He's not a screener until he hands it off.

I thought he did hand it off and then backed into the defender. I'd have to see a replay to confirm that.

I've seen that called before (more in the NBA than college). If he held on to the ball, he'd be fine, but since it's a handoff play, he is bound by the rules of screening.

This particular one was a soft call. I've seen more blatant ones go uncalled.

looked like a good call to me, the other moving screen he committed in the 1st half was just silly as well. wasn't his day today, he was off in just about every phase of the game.
