It is Теннесси after you have removed the sheep's clothing.

I am rooting hard for Georgia but as the game is in Knoxville and Massey has 6.5 pt edge towards Tenn, it will bean uphill battle. I am really impressed with what the Ga coach is doing after how bad Landers left that program. Plus, the angst on VolNation is always enjoyable.:D

So far, typical SEC offenses - not much passing, lots of one on one.

GA 4-2 after 4 minutes

When there’s a pass, there’s a turnover

9-6 Georgiawith 4:26 left in the first quarter

.-.
A back and forth game, now tied at 11

Yeesh, more turnovers

I just don’t know what to say about this game. It’s an ugly offensive display by both teams. Jamie Nared and Renia Davis have hit some threes for Tenn to go up 17-13 at the end of the first quarter. Tenn should shoot only threes because their twos are ugly. I don’t know what the heck Georgia is doing.

Yet Tenn still thinks they are WCBB Royalty. They win in the ugliest ways possible, no cohesion, poor passing, too much dribbling and low basketball IQ but hey, yeah, they’re still relevant...NOT!

Lots of talent, little to no coaching...

Tenn leads 36-19 at the half. Yes, #19 ranked Georgia scored 6 points in the quarter. Time to watch the History Channel.

I have the ESPN Gamecast going but keep us informed on the view of the telecast...it reads ugly...

Congrats to Tenn! They continue to show grit, I will give them that. Nemesis Ala next, then at Mizzou , at Fla and finishes with SC at home. They could win out and be a #2 seed in SEC!

Mercedes now is the sixth 1,000 point and 1,000 rebounds club at Tennessee.

I stopped watching at that point also. Many of Georgia's turnovers were unforced.

Tennessee is such a Jekyll & Hyde basketball team. Today, they played with confidence and their height was a BIG plus vs Georgia. Georgia is a decent team, but they do not belong in the top 16. The SEC and PAC12 have a lot of important games remaining that will have major impact on the TOP 16 seeds.

Umm, not quite sure what the heck you are saying as #1. Georgia was #18 in the polls, they are tied for 2nd in the SEC. They have SC at home and two cupcakes after that. They are a good team who lost AT Tenn who is very good, especially at home so no shame losing today. THeir SOS is weak at#46 but they are at the top in a very good league. 2. With the Big10 so weak at the top, only MD is worthy of a 16 seed. With Maybe 4PAC12 teams, ACC should have 3 in top 16, Big12 with 2, the SEC is open to get more.

Agree with your BIG 10 comment. After watching many SEC games, I believe MSU, Tennessee, South Carolina, Missouri, LSU, are all better than Georgia. Haven't seen Texas A&M play yet, so cannot comment on whether I believe they are better than Georgia.

I hear ya, LSU is really on a roll now, however Ga is 9-3 with only SC at home posing a loss threat, so 12-4 is how they will finish, Either 2nd or 3rd in SEC and ahead of Texas A&M, LSU, maybe tied with Mizzou and Tenn (SC and @Mizzou). If they play well in the SEC Tourney, you have to give them their due.

I would have thought so too before conference play started, but Georgia has won by 8 at College Station and by 12 at home over Missouri. They next play South Carolina at home, which will be a big game.

I think the SEC gets eight teams in the NCAA tournament.

I count seven: Miss St, So Car, Tenn, Mizzou, Georgia, A&M, LSU.

Where are you getting an 8th?

I was thinking Kentucky may sneak in. If they won out. Seven teams may be the total. There is a lot on the line in these remaining games for seeding. For both SEC and NCAA tournaments.

I tuned in to the Tenn v Georgia game briefly and was surprised to hear that Tennessee leads the SEC in assists per game. I checked and it's true. Tennessee leads the SEC with 421 total assists and 16.8 A/G. Of course, the flip side of that is that Tennessee is 2nd in the SEC in total turnovers with 428 and now has an A/TO ratio of less than 1.0.

Kentucky is 12-14 overall and 4-8 in the SEC without one significant win. In what alternative universe is Kentucky making the NCAA tournament?
Yeah I looked at thier schedule. They have SC and Mississippi State. So much for them making the tournament.

Also free throw attempts.
