Georgetown vs. Duke

I really don't know much about Gtwon this year, but thus far they seem pretty decent. Lost early, but they hung in there with Maryland. They are up on Duke at the moment. Our mid-season match-up with them should be competitive.

I just tune into the game and the ball goes off of Grayson Allen but the refs give it to Duke, next play Grayson Allen drives the lane and wards off the defender with his off arm before laying it in with no call.

not a surprise in any way.....as a matter of fact, I still see the ball going off the Dukie players hand in the title game against Wisconsin, being reviewed by the refs, STILL seeing it go off a Dukie, yet the ball being awarded to Duke...

and then, days after the game was over, hearing an official speak about sitting in an upper box saying that they got the call wrong, that they didn't have access to all TV replays as the reason why it wasn't correctly called....still wondering how I, with MS, being declared legally blind by vision specialists at Johns Hopkins hospital, was able to get the replay on my TV set in Pennsylvania, that showed it, seeing it with my defective eyeballs, going off of the Duke player's hand, well.....

death, taxes, and Duke getting the overwhelming benefit of any doubt on 10 out of 10 calls

Eh, Grayson Allen, just his name makes we want to puke. It looks like I'll be hearing it a lot this year. Hopefully the voluminous Ben Simmons hype will block it out for me.

I didn't think it was possible, but he has gotten worse. Drools and over-hypes every kid, and then when he gets to Plumlee, who clearly has no future in basketball, talks about what a great leader he is going to be for our country. It's sickening...

To be fair Thompson was a good guy and a JC friend, but poor coach. (one NCAA title with Ewing}, His son even though he attended Princeton is also a good guy and good recruiter, but same class as father as a coach!!!!

Tough stretch for Georgetown. A loss to a lesser school and close losses to a couple of fake top 10 schools. I feel bad for them, but I also look forward to reminding them what the real deal looks like in Jan

That and Winslow should have fouled out of the game like 4 times in the last 12 minutes.

Saw that one and he does it a lot with the left arm. But I will say this, I wasn't giving him as much credit as I may in a few weeks. Kids game is really impressive for now, much better than I thought a week ago.

When I started watching the game I was going to post something like "Dick Vitale will stop at nothing in his attempt to make Grayson Allen a star" and then he ____ all over Georgetown and scored 30-something so I figured I should just shut up.

He's a good player but teams are defending him all wrong, the guy is a straight line driver, don't know why defenders are having so much trouble staying in front of him. He's the perfect Duke villain, he looks like a young Ted Cruz and his face is just so punchable.
