not sure if there is a thread about him yet but apparently we are on his short list

His stats were very good in 2015-2016, but minutes were cut this year by JT3. I know that there have been rumors about a conflict but I'm sure that Coach KO would do due diligence in researching the situation before offering. Big men take a while to develop (as we have seen with Amida, Kentan and Steve). Could be a very useful addition to a young front court next year.

Wow, he was the 16th ranked recruit in 2014 according to ESPN. 24th according 247.

I like the talent and experience he would bring, but the last thing we need is another forward with injury problems... A back injury that requires surgery is concerning, especially when we already have two young forwards with ACL issues.

How were his stats good? He scored 11 points in 32 minutes per game, but his efficiency was low, only 43% on field goals which is terrible for a power forward. He averaged 5.4 rebounds in 32 minutes. He averaged 0.6 blocks in 32 minutes.

For comparison, this year Brimah is averaging 5.3 rebounds per game in 23 minutes and Facey 6.5 rebounds per game in 22 minutes. We are a poor rebounding team yet our starters get more than 1.5x the rebounds per minute of Copeland in his best year. Brimah's FG percentage is 71% and Facey's is 61%. Brimah gets 3.0 and Facey 1.4 blocks in 2/3 Copeland's minutes.

I mean the truth is if you watched him a couple years ago he's potentially a lot better than Brimah or Facey, he's shown that. The issues here are the back as well as the brain. Is he an attitude problem who doesn't come to play all the time or was there an issue with JT3 which didn't help this thing work. Guessing no matter how the coach treats a player to their disagreements he should have been playing hard for 40 minutes and therein makes this proposition scary in the least. Not sure he's a fit but if there is a good kid with a good back with his game which we've seen, I'd take a chance.

Fair enough - we don't need another big man with chronic injuries.
Agreed, what we need is one of those Limitless pills for our boy Steve Enoch.

Jokes aside, it's really going to have to be a grad transfer. We also need an actual big more so than someone like Copeland.

OV'd to Nebraska last night and committed to them this PM. Enrolling for class Monday
