Over/Under 146.5

Seems kind of high to me personally. It’s scary because while they aren’t a well coached team, they are talented. They may have emotional reasons to play up this game (homecoming for Spears and Akok), but we are the #1 team ( f the polls) in the country. So we can blow them out anyways.

Thoughts?

I've had us covering constantly, but 23 seems big. They are a dumpster fire, but I can see them hitting some 3's and keeping it in the teens.

Seems too big. Looks like a good spot for a back door cover when Hurley puts in the back ups to close out the game when they are up 20

Is Georgetown better than Butler? Because we beat Butler by 22. At their gym. UConn covers and Akok announces he's transferring back.
The answer to the question is an empathetic no

Sometime I tend to lean toward unexpected results or getting tested by less talented teams when the general consensus is big win upcoming. This is not one of those games. UConn by 30+

I wouldn't touch lines this big because you never know how the end of game and backdoor covers go. But we'll name the score tomorrow, if we wanted to win by 50 it would happen

We don't let teams hit 3's. We allow the 4th least 3 attempts as a percentage of total shots, and then on those limited shots, we force teams to shoot the 12th worst 3pt shooting %, out of 363 teams.

In all, we allow teams to make the fewest 3s in the country by a wide gap (3.7 made per game, next closest is 4.2, average is double that).

Giving those points is always a risk. You never know when the walk ons and backups come in. Doesn’t matter if UConn could beat them by 30, they probably won’t.

The great Johnny Gwynn, the 5'11.9" microwave, said it best and I quote, more or less: "Mourning, Motumbo, I'll take 'em to the hole."

This year's edition including Joey Going Nuclear is going to destroy georgetown. If UCONN plays its game, it should easily double georgetown's score. Ahh, good times.

We beat them by 28. I'm not a gambler, so I won't take the 23 points though.

UConn has been crushing the spread all year; I don't think Georgetown of all teams is going to buck that trend.

As an aside, you can quote Kenpalm, NET, Sagarin, etc., but UConn's record against the spread is easily the most impressive stat they've accomplished. I want to see it acknowledged by the national punditry. It also proves definitively UConn continues to be underrated nationally.

Thinking about the Over, but I'm not sure that Georgetown score enough points to cover. We legitimately haven't let a team score 70 points all season.

On average, we give up 57 points per game. If Georgetown gets to 60 (more than Oregon, Iowa State, Florida, and Butler scored against us), that means we need to score 87 to get the over. Seems tough.

This is why you just take the UConn team over
