She mentioned that their big players are not accustomed to guarding someone who moves around between the 3-point line and the paint as Napheesa does. Aston also said that when Napheesa hit those two threes in the second quarter, it shook the confidence of their young forwards, because they were not expecting her to be able to do that.
She said Geno is always good at picking on the opponent's young players, and he did that to her team today.

For sure we don't win these games without Gabby. Tonight 11 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals. No biggie, right? Right - did you watch the game? Gabby is more than 'glue' - she's not only an athletic freak, she's a competitive freak. She's "core." I keep wondering who ISN'T going to start next couple years because of all the incoming talent. I just can't dream up a scenario where Gabby sits.
No Gabby, no 7-0.
