Geno just knows exactly what to say. He's funny and at the same time a humble man too.

I do love a good Geno presser, particularly when he is being both funny and thoughtful. Lots of good observations, and props to the players. JW gives a good presser, too. Another very good coach.

Interesting that they have them stand at a podium.

Shoni has confidence in her team and just about guaranteed beating UCONN in either the AAC or NCAA tourney? The other thing that is interesting is the idea that they learn more each game and Jeff Walz is going to devise new game plans to beat UCONN. Do they think the UCONN players are not learning each game and the coaching staff is just on cruise control?

I think the inference is that the loser finds out what doesn't work each game while the winner only knows what did work each game. Of course both teams learn stuff, just the motivation to make changes may be higher for the loser. Case in point - a few years ago Jeff came into a Uconn game with the plan of not guarding Hayes at the three point line - 20 points later he decided that wasn't a good plan so he learned something while Uconn already knew Tiff could nail open threes!
With these two teams playing as much as they have and with both of them (but especially Uconn) being so well rounded offensively there is only so much gimmick you can add to a game plan. Baylor last year was a one dimensional team that had never had to figure out what to do if BG was not the #1 option - an easier defensive assignment than worrying about a team that has four starters that have the ability to put up 20+ points in a game and a fifth who is just waiting for the opportunity to prove she can too.

Let's not be too hard on Shoni, what's she supposed to say, we'll never beat UConn?

Why does this upset UConn fans? Whether it's a coach or announcer talking about a UConn opponent getting better for the next time they meet. Just because they don't say that UConn will also learn and do something different next time, doesn't mean they don't think it. Like someone said below, should announcers and players just say well we lost today and we'll probably lose again next time we play them?

I go to the link, but no videos show up. Just the captions.
Anyone else have this problem?

Try refreshing once you get on the page and it appears to have stopped loading. It may still take a few seconds before the video shows up, and there will be a short commercial to start with.

UConn could learn a thing or two about press conference audio from Louisville. Usually, on Huskyvision, I have to crank up the volume to barely hear him. This was very nice. I took note of the two nice Kiah references too.
