It is never mentioned but in 2009 Rene Montegomery was given the Honda Award for the best WCBB player in the Country! It is called the WBCA now! Maya won the other 5!

Could you please explain your reasoning for including Jess McCormack, who never stepped on campus to either attend college, practice or played in a UCONN game? I mean you are really stretching her connection to UCONN. You didn't include Elena Delle Donne who at least slept in her UCONN bed for one night.

I didn’t, it comes from the UConn data base record book.

The foreign Olympic players shouldnt be listed with the US players because of the big difference in skill individually and teams.

Thanks. I got the data from Uconn web site. My fault for not checking closely their data. I know the "game Notes" tend to have many mistakes but I didn't expect the data base not to be up to date.

Well, the staff still developed those players to be all that they could be and be at the head of their respective pool of players. I think Geno himself will tell you Svet and Kia are top players with great skill sets regardless of country affiliation. Sadiq still earned her way as an Olympian so yes, it is an accomplishment and is ok to be listed. I mean the US sends ski jumpers to the Olympics though they usually haven't got a snowflake chance in Hades to make the podium but they still qualify as Olympians...:)

Sveta is the only one that had the talent to possibly make the US team if she was eligible
