Damn good assistant coaches!Wow so Marisa and Shea have been to a final four every year, right?
UConn is the only school to have both Mens & Women's Basketball teams at the Final Four multiple times. Both teams have been to the F4 in 2004, 2009, 2011 and now 2014. An Amazing accomplishment that no other conference wants.
oopsI thought the UCLA men's consecutive FF appearance is 10, from 1967 - 1976.
1962, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1980*, 1995, 2006, 2007, 2008
UConn WB has a way to go to match that.
True, but it's pretty cool to think that if UConn made the next three final fours (a certainly conceivable possibility), Geno would tie John Wooden's streak and the UConn women would have as many as the UCLA men.I thought the UCLA men's consecutive FF appearance is 10, from 1967 - 1976.

And ... if that happened he would also break Pat's record of 18 FF in the women's game - he stands at 15 now.True, but it's pretty cool to think that if UConn made the next three final fours (a certainly conceivable possibility), Geno would tie John Wooden's streak and the UConn women would have as many as the UCLA men.
Well, technically tie, but your point stands. And ... if that happened he would also break Pat's record of 18 FF in the women's game - he stands at 15 now.
