This is about 2 minutes from where I used to live. Not the most elegant place in the Phila area so rarely any celebrity visitors. Geno's visit means a lot to the community. I started watching UConn women's basketball after one of Geno's first visits nearby after his 2nd year of coaching UConn.

The restaurant/pizzeria is in Collegeville, about 13 miles from Villanova. The town is named after the now defunct Pennsylvania Female College, not after Ursinus College, which is located there, nor after Villanova University.

I just took a look at the menu: Neapolitan pizza, Stromboli, calzones, Philly cheese steak subs, wings, donuts, pastries, ice cream…. Santamaria!!! It’s a good thing I don’t live nearby, because the food would surely kill me. But what a way to go. :)

Looks like Paige is getting ready to hit a three with that loaf of bread (?).

I bet Nika just passed it to her.
Assuming that the Huskies stopped at the Collegeville Pizzeria prior to the game last night, that just might explain their slow start vs Nova. Heck, if I had stopped there I would probably need a 3-hour nap. ;)

I know I'm no good physically after a chicken parm and pasta dinner for at least 24 hours...

Our daughter went to Haverford, and somehow we never made it out to Collegeville on our visits. Le sigh.

It could be a tossup between, Geno's basketball knowledge, or Italian food.

By looking at the photos it appears that the food was delivered to them. In the background you see the busses and Finneran Pavilion where the game was played.

Too many places on the Main Line to visit, and Philadelphia is the opposite direction, especially if you want the "real" cheesesteak or pork sandwich. Not much to do or see in Collegeville. LOL
