I'll be honest, at first, I thought "Brilliant!" Then I thought, "Well, that's actually pretty stupid. How happy would I be if we lost the first 29 games of the regular season but won the final game? How happy would I be with that?" Not very, that's how happy. Then I thought, "But don't all AAC teams make the conference playoffs, so even if we lost every regular season, we'd still be in the playoffs, and we couldn't lose there or else we wouldn't win the final game. Then I thought, "And doesn't the conference champion automatically qualify for the NCAA? And if we make the the tourney, don't we have to win it in order to win the last game?" So now, we're what? 0-30 for the regular season but 9-0 in the post season (or do we get no byes in the AAC and have to win 5 games there like the 2014 guys team, so we're 5-0 in conf. tourn. and 6-0 in NCAA) and end up 11-30 and NCAA Champs? That would be pretty cool. That would make UConn the surprise answer to a trivia question 50 years from now. "What team lost every game during the regular season but was still NCAA champion?" But wait! What about the WNIT post season? When does that conclude? Obviously, we at the Boneyard have no idea what goes on there. But if the WNIT finishes after the NCAA, doesn't that mean the winner of that tournament wins the last game of the season? Then I thought, "Where's the Advil?"
