Auriemma said the key is making sure his stars stay focused and attentive.
"Every day we're trying to make sure that if Stewart is the best player in the country, then she has to be the best player in the country every day in practice, there's no days off," Auriemma said. "And if Moriah Jefferson is the best point guard in the country, then she has to be the best point guard in the country every day, with no days off. I noticed that in some other places the best players get days off. They get to take plays off. They get certain liberties other players don't get. That doesn't happen at our place."
