Not going to disagree with anyone here as there are many valid points made.
Just going to toss out the notion Geno may get a little boost or step up on the competition. For those that may not know the award is sponsored by Werner Ladders and none of the competition has done more to promote Werner Ladders, just say'n...

But he does not promote them as often as he could. UCONN only cuts down the nets for the N.C.

No, the "winnowing" process has begun.
From the list of these semifinalists, as press release mentions, four finalists will be announced on March 14. The 2018 Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year will be announced on March 31.

I'm sure this is the same process being followed every year. Will be interesting if some team peaks at the right time, and makes it to final 4, or, final game, and that coach isn't on the Coach of the Year finalist list.

Muffett has done a very good job, considering all the injuries. But a big assist goes to the NCAA for their sham of a decision allowing Shepard to play immediately.

Then we should factor into her 2017-2018 coaching chops her ability to have Shepard legally added to her roster.
