Geno is recruiting ......where?

In the Courant this morning: the article mentions his travels around the country in September and says that he went to Mexico on a recruiting visit. Mexico?

Might that be someone on the junior Mexican national team? Or maybe a young player who is playing up on the Mexican national team? Or possibly a Texas kid whose AAU team played in a tournament across the border?

Anyone have any ideas on who he might have been checking out?

I believe he was looking at Kia Nurse and scouting the Canadian and other national teams the U.S. could meet next year at the FIBA Americas tournament.

Seems like much more the former than the latter. Geno seems to really like Nurse; seeing the 3 qualifying teams (Canada, Cuba and Brazil) play was a bonus but none will pose much of a threat in Istanbul.

Canada is no slouch at the NT level, but then again, no NT team has been that much of a challenge the last 4 years.
