Miller is another coach that can thank Geno for putting in a word for him with the hiring committee along with Sherri Coale (OK) and Brenda Frese (MD), among others.

Years ago, opposing coaches used to say Geno was homophobic. It was some negative recruiting that, frankly, backfired on those coaches. Geno is about as open and accepting a person as there is. As a non-English speaking immigrant in his youth, Geno probably has sympathy for those who had to work really hard for acceptance.

Saying he's the "guy" we want kinda makes it seem like the next coach HAS to be a man, I'd say the person or coach we want, not trying to cause any friction it's just having 4 daughters makes me thk a certain way
