And don’t forget, they will play Creighton too. It would be interesting if they pick up a loss there too.

I would begin with having them spell his first name.:D
Might get a few Gino's and then get stuck on the bench. Or we could start slowly spelling CD. ;)

I think Nika made this cookie to resemble Geno!

We wring our hands every season before it even starts. Some years it’s warranted and some years it isn’t. Time will tell. I never worry about other teams. The season usually doesn’t play out as expected, for anyone.

UConn lost a superstar player for the season. However, UConn still has a superstar guard playing this season.

I'll jump in.......he's MY coach of the year!! :D In Geno I trust. He'll begin the season 6 career wins behind Tara VanDerveer (Stanford) Not saying he'll catch her this year, but he'll close the gap.
Actually, Geno is 8 behind Tara. 1157-1149

If you had asked me even ten years ago, I would have said that the math didn’t work for Geno to catch Tara. The Stewart, Tuck, Jefferson run closed the gap considerably. In the end though, whichever of the two of them ends up with the most wins will be decided by whichever of them decides to coach the longest. Geno will walk away with the most national championships and the best winning percentage. It doesn’t trouble me horribly if Tara, by virtue of the extra seasons she’s coached, ends up with the most wins. Both have had great careers.

Just watch the stretch of games starting with Louisville when she carried the team. Everyone else was in disarray in the first few, not Caroline. This is my prediction: a kid with that kind of focus and talent will be a superstar this year. What’s your prediction for her?
