I grew up in the NYC area so I was naturally a Yankees fan. Until one day in the spring of 1969 my older brother said the Yankees were his team and I had to find another team. Of course I chose the Mets and my brother really regretted that.This made me chuckle as I can appreciate it, however I am a Jays fan, so take that for what it's worth.

Picking fights? Lol. Yeah OK. It was actually oldude who picked a fight with me. And who said anything about our girls?
I have seen every Uconn girls game since Taursi came to Storrs. Just because I don't spend 20 years on a chat room doesn't mean I don't know what I am talking about...
Graduated from Uconn and Uconn Law School. I personally knew one of Taursis teammates before she even thought of going to Uconn. Won't mention names but since I am from CT and only one of her teammates was from CT it wouldn't be too hard to figure out.
Oldude was somehow offended because I expressed my opinion that athletes being paid shouldn't be called "student athletes" anymore.
I believe that once an athlete receives a payment and signs a contract to play any sport they should be considered professionals now. That's my opinion. But nobody is "starting fights" geez...
I also believe that this "portal" is being used as some sort of free agency like MLB has. Where a school such as South Carolina or Uconn can lose players because players are going to the highest bidder now..
"Student" first athletes never did this before because they didnt have NIL or portals.
That's all I am saying. No fights lol.
