It was probably always going to be at that time due to the 30 or so minutes it takes to change the crowd and do warmups and intros. Why they originally had it a half hour earlier I don't know.

Oh nuts. Can only watch one half before the battle for the TV begins with my Mad Men addicted other half. And of course there's also Wolf Hall at 10:00. Can't these people ever get things set up properly?

Glass-half-full take: At least ESPN values WCBB enough to think it will draw a prime-time audience. The games would be at 2 AM if that's what ESPN dictated.

 @ Having to wait til 9pm to watch your team play in the final 4 as opposed to having your team previously eliminated and waiting patiently for the college football season to begin

This is especially tough on the few that wait to watch it on ESPN3 replay starting about an hour after it's over... but it's usually worth it

DVR. You may want to look into it.

The Men start their games on Saturday Night that the Women do on Sunday Night. Wondering if they would get the same ratings if ESPN started the ND vs South Carolina game at 4:30 and then UConn game could start at 7PM.

I'm with a group who will be madly texting about WH to me and MM to my wife. It's hard to be the one "still in the dark" and not being able to provide snappy and pithy remarks on the spot.

I can see how that might pith you off.
