It's relax, don't do it......RELAX? DON'T TELL ME TO RELAX, YOU %@^#$@ RELAX!
You just can't have AK, Mullins and Solo out there together. There are no workarounds. You can't keep working around Solo Ball - you just have to blend him in and hide him with the right players around him, or limit him.I don't know that there is anything that can be done about the individual defense at this point for the players who are weak at it. But maybe there are some defensive setups Hurley can set up that masks the problem. And there are individuals who are defensive liabilities. the problem is subbing them out losses offense for better defense. Not sure the solution. Will be interesting to see what happens next.
After all we didn’t beat BYU, Florida, Illinois and Kansas (and lose to Az by 4 missing 2 starters) by accident - and while nobody is the same team they were in November/December, those teams were still all at that point already better than PC, Georgetown and Creighton are now. Adjustment, adaptation, familiarity, exhaustion, officiating, hidden injuries, who knows - but I don’t think at all that this is a skill/talent problem. Let’s remember that McDermott has beaten us every single year under Hurley including one of the all time great teams (and yes I agree with others that as part of the recent trend it’s more concerning than if it happened in a vacuum but it’s still a valid point that he always knows how to pick us apart even at our best). There are certainly serious issues that need to be addressed but we’ve proved we have the talent.quick q from a football fan (ie. basketball ignorant) - are the problems, whatever y'all have determined them to be, fixable? or are we approaching the talent limits of UConn for this year?
Good advice, except I have never found Disney relaxing... expensive and aggravating, yes... but not relaxing.Get hold yourself son..it's only basketball..take the wife and kids to dinner or go to Disney and enjoy the good things in life that matter..family and friends
The problems I identified happened in blowout wins too, just now we are playing a bigger price for those issues.Let’s step up and support..give the players and coaches a little grace

Big East Tourney might be a little too late to turn it on. I don't see Cardiac Kemba on this team. After that next day hangover I think I'm back on this train. It may not be next game, or St.Johns but by BE tourney time we'll be playing close to A game ball.

Well two. M. Smith can get to the rim and beat his defender off the dribble. Problem is he can't even make a open layup when close to the basket. LOL! I wish he would just penetrate and pass. Most of our guys are not good defenders but why does it seem like every opposing player including backups can get to rim but we only have one
bahahahaha comparing this year's big-east to 2023.we also have to watch how we as fans react. We HAVE been in this exact same boat before in 23. It's relevant again because after that January skid our head coach thought he was about to get fired! Not win a natty. And i think the mood on the BY was worse.
Did no one see Mick Cronin's press conference flip out this week? jeezHe is kidding.
This team doesn’t need Kemba to win. It needs good defense and Silas and Mullins doing work with Tarris used effectively.Big East Tourney might be a little too late to turn it on. I don't see Cardiac Kemba on this team.

I'm just saying we can't afford to lose the next 4 games and then just turn it around in the big east tourney. We need to have some wins before we hit the big east tourney snd against a quality opponent too. This team doesn’t need Kemba to win. I’m liking this idea of Solo being a microwave for the bench. I hope he does. Ultimately kids like him are best suited for that, a quick offensive spark and jolt or energy.
This is the Basketball Capitol of the World...we only expect perfection.Let’s step up and support..give the players and coaches a little grace
It's hard to know if I'd rather face a 3 seed Nova or a 4 seed Hall in the Tourney. Guess we will find out tomorrow.I'm just saying we can't afford to lose the next 4 games and then just turn it around in the big east tourney. That is truly the 64,000 question. Let's look at what the coach is saying. If its the talent why didn't he see that when recruiting. If its fixable who is responsible? The players? The problem appears to be players driving down the lane ("center" out on the perimeter or if not, too "handy"). We have no shot blocking in the paint to offset the drivers in the lane.quick q from a football fan (ie. basketball ignorant) - are the problems, whatever y'all have determined them to be, fixable? or are we approaching the talent limits of UConn for this year?
Disney is the Unhappiest Place On Earth...what normal adult would want to go to Disney!??? 😕Good advice, except I have never found Disney relaxing... expensive and aggravating, yes... but not relaxing.

It worked with Clingan and Johnson but isn't something that Tarris can execute effectively. The High Hedge blew up and the coaches need to get over denial about it and move on to Bigs protecting interior and guards/swing the perimeter.
