Does anyone know if the Alumni Assn. is sponsoring an event during the BET? Failing that, is there a bar or pub fans and 'Yarders are meeting at? I prefer Irish so I expect our group will be someplace on W 33rd.

I bought Thurs - Sat (all sessions ex Weds) on Stubhub and Ticketmaster. So, different seats in the 200s for the games. Probably should have learned my lesson and not purchased Saturday tix yet. In 2006 I bought my final 4 tickets before the George Mason game thinking the prices would go up after the game. Oops! Boy did they tank. Went to Indianapolis for the games anyhow and had fun but it was soul crushing.

Be there Thursday, Friday and should the good guys keep winning Saturday too. Will for sure be at McSorleys at some point each day
Nothing - and I mean nothing good can come from spending too long in McSorleys. I have no idea why, but that place is like my Creighton, I can just never beat it. Of course I mean this in the most complimentary, juvenile, alcohol infused way.

Went to the city about a month ago with my (now 26 year old) son and stopped at McSorleys. More than a dozen years ago I told him that when he was old enough we would need to do this as a rite of passage. He remembered and when he planned the trip last fall he said that would be one of the things we had to do.

As far as the tourney, this will be my first trip in a little more than a decade (can't believe it has been that long).

As a college senior I was able to get tickets to the Civic Center (1982; last time it wasn’t in MSG) for the entire tournament. Due to being in a very new job, compounded by busy season, I thought it best to work through the 2011 & 2012 tournaments. In between it would be easier to list the tournaments I missed.

For any of various reasons I did not attend in 1990, 1995, 1999 (long story, had to give up final four tickets as well that year), 2000, 2002, 2006 & 2008.

Had full tournament tickets for 1982 (already mentioned), 1986, 1987, 1989, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 & 2010.

Had finals tickets for 1984, 1985, 1988, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2004.

Had semifinals and finals tickets in 1992, semifinals tickets in 1983.

There is nothing that compares to this event, it is the best of what collegiate sports is all about.

Bring some nips. I've been in some long lines outside during the BET.

Got my tickets and hotel for Thursday night. First Big East Tournament since 2012 when we lost to Syracuse in the Noon Quarterfinal game. A lot has happened in those 10 years. Im so happy to be back.

If my wife wasn't 8.5 months pregnant I would be on the NJ transit bus after work on Friday to pace in front of MSG waiting for last min tickets on stubhub. Knowing my luck the water will break during one of our games.
Bad timing on your part

2004 was the last time I went to the Big East Tournament, moved to Arizona for my wife's health after 04 and haven't been back since. But went to the regional when we played here in 2011.

If it does, I hope you are thinking of UConn names... RJ opens up a world of possibilities. It works equally well for Rebecca Jane as it does for Richard James. Tyrese, though, is the power move.

I had tickets and also had extra tickets from UBS company seats but the birth of my child (unless I wanted a divorce which was a very real trade off) a month ago prevented me from attending

Tickets went to UConn fans on the plus side
