. . . is our first exhibition game this year. They got as far as the D2 Elite Eight
last year and ended up ranked 6th in the country.

This year they are ranked 3rd in the D2 pre-season poll.


Our second opponent, Philadelphia University was 14 -13 last year, but I
don't know if that was D2 or D3. They lost twice last year to Holy Family
which, I think, was a UConn exhibition opponent last year or the year before.

Exactly.

Today, my wife and I attended 2 softball games in AZ's fall season - exactly the same theory. All the opponents this weekend are 2 year schools, I think the score of the first game was 15-0, the second was 11-3. Although technically a run rule, the second game was played to completion, I suppose to get in the extra practice.

Incidentally a lesson in have / have not - the second team had 5 batting helmets that they shared. Haven't seen that in years.
