When so many folks transfer because they're too far down the depth chart, Gandy is saying how great it is to have older players ahead of her that she can learn from. She'll be butting heads with practicing against Sarah, Serah, Ice, Jana, and Ayanna every day, so that's a pretty steep learning curve. Just a small swerve, Caroline, Morgan, and Blanca will presumably be part-time practicing with the bigs, too, so they'll be developing strength and close-to-the-basket skills, too.
As someone said, it's (really really) almost August, can't wait for news from players arriving in Storrs.
