Gampel is a more difficult place to shoot in if you haven't played there before. Lauren shoots there in practice, but when you play in live action the depth perception and the new lights causes you some issues. How many open looks did UCONN have last night and just clanged them off the rim or just air balled the shoots.......UNC could not kick a Beach-ball in the ocean. The new lights save money and are much brighter. The old Gampel lights were great.......ESPN needed more lighting.....Hence, ??

The Fix, dim the lights in the seated areas like MSG.......Every team shoots lights out at the Garden......The XL is a better shooting track than Gampel..........Ask any BB player, Gampel is tough

Which UConn players have you asked?

When UConn played Stanford in the XL, they hit an awful 7-31 on threes and hit a poor 11-21 on FT's. Were the XL lights bad that day also?

WARNING: JOKE That's why we have to improve the rest of the season - as I recall, we won the game anyway?:)

My point, Lights camera, action.........UCONN is a fair shooting team and will live and die by the 3 PT shot.......Light or no Lighting.......UCONN misses too many open shoots.........made its their new sneakers?

FG pcts and 3-pt shooting pcts for this year's team are exactly in line with the averages of the last 8 years. Only one team (2008-09) was much better from beyond the arc, and no team has had a significantly better overall FG pct.
