While we real fans know our football will turn around, but the reputation beating we are taking due to complete ignorance is simply ridiculous. We are tired of it.

We can turn this around starting today by making some turtle soup.

Team, you have an opportunity today that few people ever get; a shot at attaining generational greatness. Frankly, I worry for the men standing across the line of scrimmage from you today. Years from now, when football is a distant memory, those men will wake from a turbulent slumber, covered in sweat, eyes wide with fear, whispering the name "UConn".

Finally, and most importantly, remember that you will not stand on the field today by yourself; you will be with your brothers. There is no adversary stronger than the bond connecting each of you. Together, you will make the opponent feel the power of your bond with every hit, every run, every tackle. Together, you will make them dread being on the field against you. Together, you will bring home a program defining victory for our school and state. You are ready, and I am proud of you. Let's go! Follow me!
 
Even if UConn loses today, the team has a good chance to have a winning season which would help a lot in realignment.
