I'm very excited for tonight but sad at the same time. We used to tailgate with 15 to 20 people for the 1st game of every year. This year it is down to four. But still cant wait for the first game!!!!!

First game is always fun because of nice weather/start of long weekend/seeing friends etc., but as scottie said above--it has been a sad slide. I remember excitement of home opener from 4 or 5 years ago against BYU. Big crowd, proud of the program. Yeah, we got beat badly but it was a great night. Now it's 12,000 vs Wagner and a dark future. Oh well...

I think we lost 35-10. At this point a 35-10 loss to BYU would be considered a roaring success.

I'm super excited! Perfect weather and I took a half day so I'll be there at 2 sharp. I see a 34-10 win.

Tickets also aren't doing too badly considering it's a 1-AA on a holiday weekend.

Not to be a downer, but lets remember (or try to forget) that all season ticket holders will given two extra tickets to this game. Plus, the HS ticket give away and of course the student ticket give away.

I expect it to feel like 12k in house tonight, not 20k. Hope to be completely wrong.

Win tonight and then see if we get a real bump up for Illinois.
